Visiting the Archives

Our research room is open to the public Monday through Friday, 8:00 to 4:30. As a county office, we are closed on all county and state holidays.

We encourage you to call or email before your visit so we can answer any questions you may have and discuss your research goals.  Many of our visitors travel long distances, and it’s important to us to help you make the most of your time.  We can often pull materials and have them ready for you to view when you arrive.

For information on lodging, food, and suggestions for other activities during your visit to Lawrence County, visit the Chamber of Commerce
